「菲律賓對中國」南海仲裁案，常設仲裁法院今天下午5時公布結果，稱中國大陸在9段線範圍內主張的歷史權利沒有法律依據，而南沙群島的所有海上地物，均為礁岩，包括太平島在內。
AIT代理發言人蘇阿麗今天表示，根據長久以來的政策，美方支持用和平的方式解決南海的各項爭端，包括透過仲裁這樣的國際法律機制來解決
蘇阿麗說，美方鼓勵南海主權各聲索方應該要依據國際法，如同《海洋法公約》所訂出的準則，來釐清各自的海洋權利主張，並且彼此合作，跳脫框架，用和平的方式處理並解決彼此的爭端。
