想不到還有這個秘方可以讓英文程度大飆升
蔡總統致詞時，感謝USCC在2015年年度報告中，肯定台灣在國際上積極提供人道援助及災難救助，以及對於增進區域安全和亞太和平繁榮所做出的貢獻。
總統也對這份報告建議美國國會應籲請行政部門，提供台灣防禦性裝備，且持續支持台灣參與國際組織及拓展國際空間表示感謝。
談及兩岸關係，蔡總統指出，「我們也將致力於建立兩岸間的良性對話與溝通管道，並透過雙方的努力，維持兩岸關係的和平穩定與正向發展」。
總統提到，台灣經濟成長模式刻正轉向以「創新驅動」為主，未來希望與美國、日本與歐洲加強合作，尤其是研發方面，更盼美方共同分享人力資源與技術，進一步深化雙邊經貿關係。
蔡總統希望訪賓能持續關切台美關係及兩岸關係等議題，並支持台灣。
訪賓一行包括「美中經濟暨安全檢討委員會」主席施丹（Dennis Shea）、副主席白嘉玲（CarolynBartholomew）及參議員泰倫（James Talent）等，由外交部次長李澄然陪同，前來總統府晉見蔡總統，總統府副秘書長曾厚仁也在座。1050621
